There was a meeting of the Carnbee and Arncroach Community Council on Monday 1st June 2015 at 7.30 in Arncroach Church hall. There were 7 members of the public present. 1) Apologies from Cllrs Docherty and MacGregor, Helen Blyde and Richard Duffus from the CC, from Tom & Pauline Crozier, Carole E. Brunton & Andrew Stevenson. 2) The minutes of the meeting on 2nd March were perused and signed off as correct. Matters arising would come up on the agenda. 3) Cdt. Board meeting on June 15th to decide date of AGM. There would have to be a meeting soon with the 3 Farmers concerning Community Benefit now that the turbines are up and running. 4) Gillingshill. Cllr Riches will investigate to see what steps are being taken about the disposal of the Nature Reserve. Fences will need some attention in the future. Concern voiced about future upkeep of the Reserve. 5) Roads & 6) Councillor’s Report. i) Belliston road has been patched but flooding still needs to be investigated. ii) Q62 Carnbee – Ovenstone has been patched. South of Gordonshall junction at old Manse stretch of 20 – 30 m. on programme for repair. Stretch between Ovenstonemuir and main road junction needs radical repair. iii) Overkellie has been patched. Scheduled for major repair which will require road closure for 5 days later in year. Farmers need to know when. iv) Ditches are a Council responsibility and usually done in winter. Ditches with grids are regularly inspected. Are there any that need attention? v) Balmonth – road sign at main road junction still not replaced. Telephone cable exposed. vi) Serious accident at Pittarthie bends. Excessive speed. Permanent flood there. Requires sign. vii) Hedges impede visibility at certain places. Falside bridge, Colinsburgh crossroad. Can they be cut back by Council? Broadband. There is finance available to employ 2 people to investigate which areas are not covered by BT superfast broadband. Will cover East Neuk and Howe of Fife. 7) Treasurer’s Report. Balance – £1469.10 8) Planning. i) Stable block & house at Bonerbo farm cottages. ii) Environmental impact assessment not needed at Belliston Quarry. AOB – i) costing of extension to graveyard ongoing. ii) planters have already been sent to Pathhead for summer planting. Next meeting – September 7th . Thanks to all.
